Zighenzani Africa Safaris was founded in 2004. Our mission statement is “ethical hunting on prime trophies at fair rates”.   For us at Zighenzani, hunting is not only a job but a certain way of life and passion. We are three young Professional Hunters who would like you not only to take trophies home but to relish the experience. It is important to us that each and every hunt stays an unique experience. As native Africans we would like to kindle the classic safari flair in each and every client. Allow us the opportunity to make your dreams come true in the African bush!
A hunt starts and ends at the airport. After the pickup at the airport by the PH the trip proceeds to the hunting grounds. Depending on the species hunted, safaris take place in different parts of Namibia. For this reason normally no hunting takes place on days of arrival and departure.

Concerning the accommodation there is a choice between Safari style tented camp and at the farmhouse.  We prefer the tented camps because the safari atmosphere tends to be more intensive and reminds a bit of the classic safaris of the days gone by. What better way to end an exciting days hunting by enjoying the campfire within the hunting area.
The style of hunting consists of walk and stalk and sitting in a blind. Species are only hunted in their natural habitat. The shot ranges seldom exceed 250yds. Extra special care is taken with the trophy handling and trophies are taken to Windhoek at a later stage to renowned Export companies or taxidermists.
The daily rate includes the PH, trackers, skinners hunting vehicle, accommodation, all meals excluding alcoholic beverages, transfer to and from the airport and laundry.
The hunting areas are situated in the Hochfeld Conservancy (90.000 acres) – NE of the international Airport as well as concession areas in northern Namibia (Otavi,Kamanjab) and central Namibia (Khomashochland).
The hunting season in Namibia starts 1 February and ends 30 November. We recommend hunting between March and October due to favourable weather conditions.
The accommodation in the Hochfeld Conservancy is a double tent with shower per client, although hunters can choose to stay in a Double room at the farmhouse. In the concession areas accommodation is solely double tents and shower.
Bowhunting and Wingshooting can naturally be organised on demand.
Furthermore there is an option to add a guided tour through Namibia at the commencement of the hunt with our tourism partners. Fishing safaris can be organised on request. Shark fishing along Namibias pristine coastline or tigerfishing on Namibias rivers is a must for fishing enthusiasts.
Another important factor is the clothing. Hunting boots should be well broken in. Camo or dark green garments are recommended. The garments should be of a material which is soft but durable due to the many thorny bushes. Long-sleeved shirts and wide rimmed hats are an advantage. The African sun takes no prisoners so do not forget to pack sun-lotion of a high protection factor.
The choice of Calibre should be confirmed after talking to the PH. It is of paramount importance to gain the necessary practice with the firearm you intend on bringing. Rifles for rent are available.
